On Saturday, May 20, two dozen club members made the trek to Crazy Horse Ranch for an individual low net tournament. The course, formerly known as Salinas Golf And Country Club, is situated in the rolling hills just north of the city of Salinas. Feedback from the tournament director indicated that the facilities and the weather were enjoyed by all.
In the First Flight, Jack Simpson shot a steady 81 to win low gross. Three players tied for low net at 69 but club rules state that first place in these situations must be decided by a card playoff. Ray Coler came out on top with Stephen Suleski and John Osness sharing second place prize money and TOC points.
Low gross in the Second Flight went to Buzz Ogren with a 90. Jack Woods shot the low round of the day with a 68 to take low net honors. Gary Pruitt and John Harris shared second place with matchihg 73s.
Congratulations to the winners and thanks for coming out.
