Our previous event at Monarch Bay, just two miles south of Metropolitan, demontrated just how tough a course can get
when the wind comes charging through the Golden Gate. The scores at Metropolitan proved the course to be
almost as difficult
as its San Leandro neighbor.
In the Metropolis Flight, Kevin Yamada and Dave Bridgman tied for low gross at 81 necessitating a card playoff.
Kevin came out on top with Dave taking low net honors with a 69. Just a shot behind at net 70 were Ross Erickson
and Lou Sehl who shared second place money and points.
Tournament Director James Kaku won the Gotham Flight low gross with a 90 five strokes better than his closest competitor.
Low net honors went to Chuck Pickett in a card playoff over Bob Arends at
Jim Breedlove and Don Krisotfferson tied for third with matching 73's.
Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all who made the trek to
