Pacific Grove has always been one of our favorite destinations for a tournament.
The course opened in 1932 and continues to be a challenge despite its short length.
Perhaps it's the steady breezes, ice plant and sand dunes that make this course a real test.
Last year we played a Four Ball where partners can rescue each other should they visit the less traveled areas of the course.
This year 25 players tackled the links in an Individual Low Net event.
In the First Flight, Brad Miller took the low gross with an 83 while low net went to Keith Arends
at 68. John Osness won second low net despite a 9 on the 307 yeard 13th hole where an easy bogie might have put him at the top of the list.
Third low net went to Buzz Ogren with a 72.
Second Flight low gross went to Ray Coler with an 85.
Continuing a family trend, Bob Arends took low net with a 66 two shots better than son Keith
in the First Flight.
Second low net went to Tracy Powell at 67 while Gordy Cole took third
with a 68.
Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone for coming out.
