Poppy Ridge Stableford
July 21, 2018

Modified Stableford, the high handicappers friend. For those who don't know how it works, players are awarded points for good play but can also lose points for not so good play.  In the end, the higher your score, the better you played.  If you watched the recent American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe, you know how it works.

In the First Flight, Doug Marinkovich tied for low gross with John Driver at -7 and won a card playoff to take the top spot. Low net honors went to Keith Arends with nine points followed closely by son Darien Arends with eight points. Not far behind were third and fourth place finishers Jack Simpson and Dave Bridgman at seven and six points respectively.

Second Flight low gross went to Dominic Ascani at -21 points while Don Kristofferson ran off with the low net prize with a whopping 18 points. Gordy Cole finished second with 5 points while new member Michael Kern took third at +1. Roger Kalemba and Ken Arends finished with zero points apiece and shared fourth.

Congratulations to the winners.
