Many years ago, the club played a tournament on the Coyote Creek Tournament course. My only recollection of that event was that we finished in the dark and I won a couple of bucks. This year we played the Valley course, a track that is more benign that its brother across US 101.
In the First Flight, long hitter John Driver shot a 6-over 78 to capture low gross. Jack Simpson cruised to a 66 and won the low net by four shots over his closest competitor Buzz Ogren. Jun Barron and Keith Shiver shared third place money at one under 71.
The second flight was dominated by 80 year old Don Kristofferson who won low gross with an 88. The net winner Dominic Ascani finished just one shot ahead of second place finishers Roger Kalemba and Ken Arends while John Harris took fourth at even par 72.
Congratulations to the winners - John Frykland, Webmaster
