Baylands 6/6/6 Teams
December 7, 2019

The weather was threatening on Saturday as 14 two player teams showed up to compete in a unique format. The first six holes were played as a scramble where each player hits a tee shot and then the team picks the better shot to play next. This procedure continues with each shot until the hole is completed. The middle six holes were played using the foursomes format popularly known as alternate shot. One member of the team teed off on holes 7, 9 and 11 while his teammate teed of on holes 8, 10 and 12. After teeing off the players alternate shots until the ball has been holed. The round concluded with a best ball format on the final six holes.

The First Flight played from the blue tees with the team of Rafael Carmona Toscano and Sarang Kirpekar taking the top spot at four under 68. They were followed by Doug Marinkovich and Christian Quint who were one shot behind at 69. Heath Black and guest Ben Timmons tied for third with John Driver and Keith Shiver at 70

The Second Flight got a little help by playing from the white teams. The team of Lou Sehl and Clayton Halsey shot the best round of the day with a 65 to take the top spot. Chuck Pickett and Jack Woods were two shots back at 67 while Tracy Powell and Jack Simpson took third with a 69.

Thanks to all of you who came out on this blustery day and congratulations to the winners.
