TOC Low Gross & Low Net Winners

  • 2024 PAGC Player of the YEAR - John Driver

Big John “the Jaguar” Driver is the outright 2024 Player of the Year! With a commanding lead in the points race heading into the TOC tourney, there was only 1 outcome he needed to avoid: come in last place in his flight AND the second place player in the TOC points race wins his flight and doubles as a Low gross winner/or Low net winner. I like those odds!

Yet, John is not relenting in his golfing efforts. He is set to join the PAGC board for 2025-2028 and will be even more involved with the club (and winning). He is doubling up as the Handicap chairman and is also part of the rules/tournament committee. This speaks highly of his energy, passion and dedication to the club and in defending the POY title. Congrats, John!

  • 2024 TOC Low Gross Winner - Sean Guzman

Sean has served up some low scores all throughout the 2024 season but he often gets clipped by us “net” folks. His big reward finally arrived at this year’s TOC. I saw Sean warming up on the range prior to his TOC round and I can tell he had a good round coming. Well, not quite. He put together a GREAT round of 67 which included 7 birdies!

Just a spectacular round at TOC with the closes competitor at 75 gross. We should come to expect more wins from Sean in the future and don’t be surprise if he delivers. Congrats, Sean!

  • 2024 TOC Low NET Winner - Jay Huang

Coming off a recent win from Cinnabar Hills 2 weeks prior to TOC, Jay carried the momentum into the tournament to squeeze out a 1 stroke victory to gain Low Net Honors.

You can easily predict his irons were dialed in for TOC as he even won Closest to the Pin award at Cinnabar Canyon #5 and hit to 9’3”. This is what you get when you prep and utilize the prior tournament to mentally prepare for the penultimate prized tournament. Right, Jay? Congrats!
