• We are locked out of Instagram and struggling to get back in. We are working on recovering the
password from the original creator, who is no longer part of the club.
• Finances – 2023 closing: we ended with about $7000 balance for the year (after a correction for
prize money charged at Baylands). Averaged 56 players per event. Baylands contacted former
members with money on the books about outstanding credits. Most of them donated the
money back to the club. The remainder is pending. Will discuss future policy about the length of
time money can sit on account.
• Club will make ball markers this year to give out at events. Waiting on some quotes.
• Some of the entry fees for NCGA events are increasing.
• The Honorary members list is still being finalized. The final list will be available next meeting.
• Communications – Hit rate on newsletter was about 75%. There was a refresh on the website,
with a notice for membership renewal.
• Membership – 306 current members, 85 non-renewals, 12 lapsed. Will put out last email
request tomorrow for members to renew, then move them to lapsed status after 48 hours. Will
likely pick up more members throughout the year to get back up near 400.
• TOC points proposal – Proposed change to points for major tournaments. For Directors Cup and
Stroke Play Championship, add 25 bonus points for overall low gross and overall low net. For
Match Play Championship, adjust top 4 to 100 points, Finalist to 110 points, and Winner to 125
points (to be consistent with winners of other majors) Pass unanimously.
• Handicap – One exceptional score. One extreme hard cap. Slow season, so not many scores
being posted.
