February meeting minutes approved
Patrick B. sent letter to the board complaining about price markup at the Baylands Golf Shop. He is frustrated that we are required to use winning in the golf shop, and then are forced to pay the higher price on the items. It seems the only way to get MSRP is to have a links card, which is really not useful for club members and Palo Alto residents. Doug will have a conversation with the GM to discuss the issue and see if there is something we can do.
2024 Schedule discussion has been started with Baylands. Will continue to work through dates
The Thursday and Saturday Team Match Play league is getting organized. Captains are same as last year. More information to come soon.
Communications update – Heath needs more content for the newsletter. With Heath moving away soon, we will need to redefine the communications role and find a new person. Would like the communications director to own the websites.
Tournaments – Completed both fourball qualifiers and the Villages. Learned a lesson about scheduling winter tournaments too close to sunset, but did not affect results.
Finance – Standard finance update. All line items are on track.
Handicap – 2 exceptional scores. 1 golfer is hard capped, and 2 more who are close to a hard cap. 22 soft cap.
