September, 2022 Board Minutes
The PAGC September 2022 meeting was called to order at 5:30 PM.
Present: Marinkovich, Zimmer, Kaku, Barkley, Pickett, Shiver, Black, Kirpekar, Heathorn
Absent: Clauson
Approval of Minutes: Upon motion by Marinkovich, 2nd by Barkley the minutes of the August 2022 meeting was approved.
Wells Fargo: In order to change the 'key executive with control of the entity," to the Marinkovich email address, the Board needs to pass a resolution to do so.
Upon a motion by Marinkovich to change the address from Treasurer Ed Barkley to President Doug Marinkovich, 2nd by Kirpekar, the change was approved.
Communication Report: Black announced that website migration would take place in October. Social posts now include tournament sign-ups and winners. A rules section template will be included in the near future . The 1st newsletter to go out in mid-September.
Tournament Report: Pickett has secured the home schedule, Baylands, for 2023. The 1st away event has also been booked for January 2023. The Match Play Championship is down to the final. The Stroke Play Championship will also have a Senior Tournament played within. There will be 4 flights. Pickett took over as Tournament Director for Kaku at the Director's Cup.
Finance Report: Marinkovich delivered the August 2022 and YTD finance update. Ross Erickson had a hole-in-one at Sunnyvale and was paid out. Projected to end the year with a $1,133 surplus. $22,054 balance at the end of August. Golf Genius fees have been increased. The PAGC does not carry overdraft protection.
Handicap Report: Kaku reported that there were 27 soft-caps assigned during August. Only one exceptional score during the same period.
Membership Report: Currently 362 PAGC members. 2023 pricing to be listed on Member Planet. 2023 rates will be $110, $100, $60 and $18.
Rules Report: Heathorn had nothing new to report, however, he will provide content for the new website.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 6:15 PM.
